Georgetown

Located just north of Austin, Georgetown is the county seat of Williamson County with a population around 50,000. The city is located on the northeastern edge of Texas Hill Country. The North and Middle Forks of the San Gabriel River both run through the city, providing over 30 miles of hike and bike trails, several parks and recreation for both residents and visitors.

Georgetown is home to Sun City retirement village and Southwestern University, the oldest university in Texas, founded in 1840. Most of the charm centers around the historic districts which consists of the Williamson County Courthouse, the Belford National District and The University Avenue/Elm Street which are recognized by the National Register. The city was recently named one of the best places to purchase a historic house.
